2:1 And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
2:1 솔로몬이 주의 이름을 위한 전과 그의 왕국을 위한 궁을 건축하기로 결심하여
2:2 And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
2:2 짐지는 자 칠만과, 산에서 벌목하는 자 팔만과, 그들을 감독하는 자 삼천육백을 뽑으니라.
2:3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, [even so deal with me].
2:3 솔로몬이 투로 왕 후람에게 보내어 말하기를 "당신이 내 아버지 다윗에게 백향목을 보내어 그가 거할 궁을 건축하게 하신 것같이 내게도 그리하소서.
2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate [it] to him, [and] to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This [is an ordinance] for ever to Israel.
2:4 보소서, 내가 주 나의 하나님의 이름을 위하여 한 전을 건축하여 그 분께 드리고, 그 분 앞에서 향기로운 향을 사르며, 늘 빵을 차리며, 안식일과 새 달과 주 우리 하나님의 엄숙한 명절마다 아침 저녁으로 번제를 드리려 하나이다. 이것은 이스라엘에게 영원한 규례이니다.
2:5 And the house which I build [is] great: for great [is] our God above all gods.
2:5 내가 짓는 전은 크니, 이는 우리 하나님이 모든 신들보다 크심이니이다.
2:6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who [am] I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
2:6 하늘과 하늘들의 하늘이라도 그 분을 수용할 수 없을진대, 누가 감히 그 분께 전을 건축할 수 있겠나이까? 오직 그 분 앞에 제물을 사르는 것 외에, 내가 누구이기에 그 분께 전을 건축하리이까?
2:7 Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that [are] with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.
2:7 그러므로 이제 나에게 금과 은과 동과 철과 자색과 홍색과 청색실로 일하는 데 능숙한 기술자 한 사람을 보내 주시어 내 아버지 다윗이 예비하여 두신, 유다와 예루살렘에 나와 함께 있는 기술자들과 함께 새기는 일을 하게 하소서.
2:8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants [shall be] with thy servants,
2:8 또한 레바논에서 백향목과 잣나무와 백단목을 나에게 보내 주소서. 왕의 신하들이 레바논에서 벌목을 잘 하는 것을 내가 아나이다. 보소서, 나의 신하들이 왕의 신하들과 함께하여
2:9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build [shall be] wonderful great.
2:9 나를 위하여 재목을 풍부히 준비하게 하리이다. 이는 내가 지으려 하는 전이 심히 큼이니이다.
2:10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
2:10 보소서, 내가 왕의 신하 즉 벌목하는 사람들에게 타작한 밀 이만 말과 보리 이만 말과 포도주 이만 말과 기름 일만 말을 드리리이다." 하더라.
2:11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.
2:11 그러자 투로 왕 후람이 글로 솔로몬에게 보냈으니 "주께서 그의 백성을 사랑하사 당신으로 그들을 다스리는 왕을 삼으셨도다." 하고
2:12 Huram said moreover, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
2:12 후람이 또 말하기를 "하늘과 땅을 지으신 이스라엘의 주 하나님은 찬양을 받으소서. 하나님께서 다윗왕에게 현명한 아들을 주시고 총명과 명철을 주사 주를 위하여 전을 건축하고 그의 나라를 위하여 궁을 건축하게 하셨도다.
2:13 And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,
2:13 이제 내가 명철을 지닌 기술자를 보내 드리오니, 그는 내 아버지 후람의 사람이었으며
2:14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father [was] a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.
2:14 단의 딸들 중 한 여인의 아들이요, 그의 아버지는 투로 사람이라, 그가 금과 은과 놋과 철과 돌과 목재와 주홍색과 청색과 세마포와 홍색 실로 일을 잘 하는 사람이며, 어떤 새기는 것도 새기고 자기가 맡은 일에는 어떤 기술도 고안해 내었으니, 왕의 기술자들과 왕의 아버지, 나의 주 다윗의 기술자들과 함께 일하게 하소서.
2:15 Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
2:15 그러므로 이제 내 주께서 말씀하신 밀과 보리와 기름과 포도주는 그의 종들에게 보내소서.
2:16 And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.
2:16 우리가 레바논에서 당신이 필요한 만큼 벌목하여 당신께 바다로 뗏목편에 욥바까지 보내리니 당신께서 예루살렘으로 운반하여 가소서." 하더라.
2:17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that [were] in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found an hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred.
2:17 솔로몬은 그의 아버지 다윗이 전에 이스라엘인을 계수한 이후 이스라엘 땅에 있는 모든 타국인들을 계수하니, 그들이 십오만 삼천육백 명이더라.
2:18 And he set threescore and ten thousand of them [to be] bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand [to be] hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.
2:18 그가 그 중 칠만 명을 짐지는 사람으로, 팔만 명은 산에서 벌목하는 사람으로 정하고, 삼천육백 명은 백성들이 일하는 데 감독자로 삼았더라.
