5:1 And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.
5:1 투로 왕 히람이 그의 신하들을 솔로몬에게 보냈으니, 이는 사람들이 솔로몬에게 기름을 부어 그의 아버지를 대신하여 왕이 된 것을 그가 들었음이더라. 히람은 일찍이 다윗을 사랑하는 사람이었더라.
5:2 And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
5:2 솔로몬이 히람에게 보내어 말하기를
5:3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
5:3 "당신이 아시거니와, 내 아버지 다윗이 사면에서 그를 에워싼 전쟁 때문에 주께서 그들을 그의 발바닥 아래에 두실 때까지 주 그의 하나님의 이름으로 전을 건축하지 못하였나이다.
5:4 But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, [so that there is] neither adversary nor evil occurrent.
5:4 그러나 이제 주 나의 하나님께서 내게 사면에 쉼을 주셨으므로, 대적도 재앙도 일어나지 않나이다.
5:5 And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.
5:5 보소서, 주께서 내 아버지 다윗에게 일러 말씀하시기를 '내가 너를 대신하여 네 보좌에 세울 네 아들, 그가 내 이름으로 전을 건축하리라.' 하신 대로 내가 주 나의 하나님의 이름으로 전을 건축하려고 계획하나이다.
5:6 Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that [there is] not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.
5:6 그러므로 이제 당신은 명하셔서 그들로 나를 위하여 레바논에서 백향목을 베게 하소서. 내 신하들이 당신의 신하들과 함께 할 것이요, 또 내가 당신의 신하들에게 당신이 정하신 모든 것에 따라 삯을 주리이다. 이는 당신도 아시거니와 우리 가운데는 시돈인같이 벌목을 잘하는 자가 없음이니이다." 하더라.
5:7 And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed [be] the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.
5:7 히람이 솔로몬의 말을 듣고 크게 기뻐하여 말하기를 "다윗에게 현명한 아들을 주시어 이 큰 백성을 다스리게 하신 주를 오늘 송축할지라." 하더라.
5:8 And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: [and] I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.
5:8 히람이 솔로몬에게 보내어 말하기를 "당신이 내게 보내신 일들을 내가 숙고하였으며, 내가 백향목 목재와 잣나무 목재에 관한 당신의 모든 요구를 행하리이다.
5:9 My servants shall bring [them] down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive [them]: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.
5:9 나의 신하들이 목재를 레바논에서 바다로 가져오고, 또 내가 그것들을 뗏목으로 만들어서 바다로 운송하여 당신이 내게 지정하실 장소로 운송하여 거기서 그것들을 부리리니, 당신은 그것들을 받으실 것이며, 또 당신께서 나의 궁정을 위하여 식량을 주심으로 나의 요구를 이루어 주시리이다." 하더라.
5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees [according to] all his desire.
5:10 그리하여 히람이 솔로몬에게 백향목과 잣나무를 그의 모든 요구대로 주었으며
5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat [for] food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
5:11 솔로몬은 히람에게 그의 가족을 위한 식량으로 밀 이만 말과 맑은 기름 이십 말을 주었으니, 솔로몬이 히람에게 매년 그렇게 주었더라.
5:12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
5:12 주께서 솔로몬에게 약속하신 대로 지혜를 주시므로 히람과 솔로몬 사이에 화평이 있었고, 그들 두 사람이 함께 조약을 맺었더라.
5:13 And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.
5:13 그때 솔로몬왕이 온 이스라엘에서 사람들을 동원하니, 그 동원된 수가 삼만이더라.
5:14 And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, [and] two months at home: and Adoniram [was] over the levy.
5:14 그가 그들을 한 달에 일만씩 번갈아 레바논으로 보내니, 그들이 한 달은 레바논에 두 달은 집에 있더라. 아도니람이 동원된 인원을 관리하더라.
5:15 And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;
5:15 솔로몬에게는 운반하는 자가 칠만이요, 산에서 채석하는 자가 팔만이더라.
5:16 Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which [were] over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.
5:16 그 외에도 일을 감독하는 솔로몬의 관원의 우두머리가 삼천삼백 명이었으니, 그들이 일하는 백성들을 관리하더라.
5:17 And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, [and] hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.
5:17 왕이 명하니 그들이 큰 돌들과 값진 돌들과 다듬은 돌들을 가져다가 전의 기초를 놓으니라.
5:18 And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew [them], and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.
5:18 솔로몬의 건축가들과 히람의 건축가들과 돌 다듬는 사람들이 돌들을 다듬었으니, 그들이 전을 건축하기 위하여 목재와 돌들을 준비하니라.
5:1 투로 왕 히람이 그의 신하들을 솔로몬에게 보냈으니, 이는 사람들이 솔로몬에게 기름을 부어 그의 아버지를 대신하여 왕이 된 것을 그가 들었음이더라. 히람은 일찍이 다윗을 사랑하는 사람이었더라.
5:2 And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,
5:2 솔로몬이 히람에게 보내어 말하기를
5:3 Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.
5:3 "당신이 아시거니와, 내 아버지 다윗이 사면에서 그를 에워싼 전쟁 때문에 주께서 그들을 그의 발바닥 아래에 두실 때까지 주 그의 하나님의 이름으로 전을 건축하지 못하였나이다.

5:8 히람이 솔로몬에게 보내어 말하기를 "당신이 내게 보내신 일들을 내가 숙고하였으며, 내가 백향목 목재와 잣나무 목재에 관한 당신의 모든 요구를 행하리이다.

5:10 So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees [according to] all his desire.
5:10 그리하여 히람이 솔로몬에게 백향목과 잣나무를 그의 모든 요구대로 주었으며
5:11 And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat [for] food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.
5:11 솔로몬은 히람에게 그의 가족을 위한 식량으로 밀 이만 말과 맑은 기름 이십 말을 주었으니, 솔로몬이 히람에게 매년 그렇게 주었더라.
5:12 And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.
